Trump Says What ‘Governor Newscum’ Has ‘Done to California Is Unbelievable’

Former President Donald Trump referred to California Gov. Gavin Newsom as “Governor Newscum” while giving a speech at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Republican frontrunner visited the southern border on Thursday and gave a speech in Eagle Pass, Texas, while President Joe Biden met with border agents in Brownsville. Trump has made immigration a centerpiece for the 2024 presidential race as he prepares to face Biden in the general election.

During his speech, Trump slammed Biden for the influx of migrants across the border by citing crimes committed by undocumented migrants, claiming “Crooked Joe has the blood of countless innocent victims” on his hands.

Trump then shifted his attacks to the California governor, blaming him for promising undocumented migrants “free education, free medical, free everything”:

Crooked Joe has the blood of countless innocent victims. It’s so many stories to tell, so many horrible stories. Three years ago, we had the most secure border in history… We had the most secure border and people weren’t coming because they knew they weren’t going to get in.

And we weren’t promising free education, free medical, free everything. I mean, all the promises that are made, no wonder they come. I mean, you look at what this governor Newscum from California. Isn’t that his name? Newscum. What he’s done to California is unbelievable. People are pouring in, they think they’re going to get medical aid, and our soldiers, our vets, aren’t being taken care of.
