Trump’s Endorsement In Nevada’s GOP Senate Primary Irks MAGA Supporters: ‘Brown is a Trump Hater!’

Former President Donald Trump ruffled some feathers in MAGA world on Sunday evening when he endorsed the leading GOP candidate for U.S. Senate in Nevada, retired Army Capt. Sam Brown.

“Sam Brown is a FEARLESS AMERICAN PATRIOT, a Purple Heart Recipient, who has proven he has the “PURE GRIT” and COURAGE to take on our Enemies, both Foreign and Domestic. Sam is now running for U.S. Senate in the Great State of Nevada, primarily because he knows that Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left are A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, adding:

Our Country can no longer stand with this Corrupt and Incompetent “President” calling the shots. As your next Senator, Sam will fight tirelessly to secure our Border, end Migrant Crime, stop Inflation, grow our Economy, STRONGLY SUPPORT OUR GREAT MILITARY/VETS, protect our always under siege Second Amendment, and restore PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH

…I have gotten to know Sam and his beautiful wife, Amy, a U.S. Army First Lieutenant, and I know in this next chapter of their Life of Service together, they will continue to make us all proud. Sam has already proven his Love for our Country, being horrifically wounded, and making the Comeback of a Lifetime. Sam Brown has my Complete and Total Endorsement – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!

Trump held a rally in Nevada earlier on Sunday, but did not explicitly endorse any candidate in the GOP senate primary, which includes Trump’s former ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter.

Brown, who leads in the polls was the safe choice for Trump, but a surprising one to an extent as Brown is seen as being closely aligned with Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) – who Trump regularly insults and is a nemesis of the MAGA base.

Fox contributor Leo Terrell posted to X after Trump’s endorsement, “Do your research Nevada: Sam Brown is a Trump’s [sic] Hater!” Grace Chong, who runs Steve Bannon’s War Room, added, “Terrible.” Chong was asked by followers why Trump would do such a thing and she replied, “It’s his advisor.”

Close Trump ally and far-right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer has been raging against Brown for months, writing in April, “Sam Brown is a liar and he’s not a true Trump supporter. That’s why he blocked me on X when I exposed him for saying he didn’t want to commit to being on the same ballot as Trump the day after Trump was arrested in Georgia.”

Some of Loomer’s followers turned to her on Monday to understand why Trump would back the GOP establishment choice in the primary. “I definitely need @LauraLoomer on the intel to investigate who’s been telling Trump to make these endorsements. I know perfectly well that she stands against Sam Brown the same way I do. She’s our only hope to save Trump from continuing to make these terrible endorsements,” wrote one MAGA account.

“Hell No!! Whoever is advising Trump on some of these endorsement I really Question their motive. Sam Brown No!!” wrote another MAGA-identified account on X as many users chimed in to voice their displeasure with the endorsement.
