Tucker Carlson offered blunt criticism of Christians supporting Israel’s strikes in Gaza, telling them they’ve “lost the thread.”
Tucker Carlson invited Palestinian Christian Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac for a chat for the Tucker Carlson Network, and the former Fox News host criticized Christian leaders in the United States for not being more critical of the destruction in Gaza. Isaac is a pastor in Bethlehem.
“If you wake up in the morning and decide that your Christian faith requires you to support a foreign government blowing up churches and killing Christians, I think you’ve lost the thread,” Carlson said at the end of his talk with Isaac.
Carlson had earlier noted an Israeli strike that destroyed a Greek Orthodox church compound in October, killing at least 17 people. Calls for a ceasefire have intensified recently after seven aid workers going into Gaza were also killed in a strike. Thousands of civilians died inside Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the strikes will not stop until Hamas is completely eliminated. The terror group attacked Israel on Oct. 7, leading to more than 1,000 deaths and hundreds of kidnappings.
Carlson asked Isaac for a “message” to Christian leaders inside the United States on the Israel-Hamas war.
“It would be to remind them that when the state of Israel was created, it was not created on an empty land. It was created on a land that had millions of indigenous Palestinians, including Palestinian Christians,” he said.
Isaac described the war as “genocide” and added, “fellow Christians are suffering.”
