Meghan McCain to Trump: ‘No One Will Ever Love You the Way They Loved My Father’

On Saturday, President Donald Trump lashed out at the late Sen. John McCain on Twitter.

Daughter Meghan McCain‘s response was swift and fierce.

After Trump accused McCain of “spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier,” Meghan had some words for the president.

“No one will ever love you the way they loved my father,” Meghan wrote. “I wish I had been given more Saturday’s with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on twitter obsessing over mine?”

Trump’s tweet disparaging Sen. McCain actually quoted former independent counsel Ken Starr who said if the reports about McCain and the dossiers are true, then it would be a “dark stain” on McCain.

However, as noted in a previous Mediaite report, Trump added his own spin.

Starr called McCain an “American hero,” but said if the reports are true, it is “unfortunately a very dark stain” on the Arizona Republican who died last year.

In Trump’s tweet, he added that McCain “had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!”

Trump’s tweet also comes on a busy day of tweeting where he has also lashed out — among others — at Google and Hillary Clinton.
