Chuck Todd Confronts Lewandowski, Bossie: Trump’s Trying to ‘Rewrite History’ on Access Hollywood Tape?

Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie have a new book coming out touting an inside look at the Trump campaign, but Chuck Todd asked them this morning about one of the most infamous parts of the campaign.

Todd brought up the reporting that President Trump has been openly questioning the authenticity of the Access Hollywood tape, and directly asked Bossie if he “directly acknowledged” that was his voice.

Bossie noted the apology Trump gave at the time and said “it’s clear” that’s Trump on the tape.

Todd then asked Lewandowski, “Why does [Trump] have this penchant to try to change a story… when he does own up to something, literally six months later he’ll want to rewrite history?”

Lewandowski immediately brought up tax reform before saying that the American people looked at the Access Hollywood tape and decided ultimately to go for Trump on the issues.

Bossie agreed that it’s been litigated already, and Todd said they sound like the people who defended Bill Clinton.
