Fox News Guest Declares Memo ‘Most Consequential Political Scandal in American History’

Dan Bongino — some random cop that Fox & Friends occasionally drags off the street to rant about politics — appeared on the show Saturday to declare that the Nunes memo is “now the most consequential…political scandal in American history.”

He also said we are already in the midst of a “cold civil war.”

The Nunes memo, released by House Republicans with the approval of President Donald Trump on Friday, alleges the the salacious and unverified dossier authored by former British spy Christopher Steele was “an essential part” of the FBI’s justification to surveil Carter Page.

Republicans say the Nunes memo demostrates FBI and DOJ abuses, and Democrats say the information in the memo distorts the facts in order to undermine the Russia investigation.

Dan Bongino, our NYPD officer turned secret service agent turned podcaster and frequent Fox News guest, thinks the memo exposes a scandal of unprecedented proportions.

“I used to say it was likely one of the more consequential,” Bongino told the hosts of Fox & Friends Weekend. “It is now the most consequential – no question – political scandal in American history.”

Bongino went on to explain how the Obama administration circumvented the law to “spy on the Trump campaign,” before “reverse engineering crimes against the Trump people.”

And then, without skipping a beat, Bongino took up rhetorical arms for the Trump administration: “If nothing is done about what happened to the Trump team, we are already in the midst of a cold civil war, there’s no doubt about it.”

“This was a shredding of the constitution, full stop,” Bongino declared.
