Giuliani Backs de Blasio: ‘Never Criticize Someone for Overpreparing’
Former Gotham Mayor Rudy Giuliani defended current Chief of Snow Preparedness Bill de Blasio on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning, arguing that one should never fault a city official for overpreparing in the face of a severe weather event.
As you may recall, Giuliani and de Blasio ain’t exactly BFFs, owing to a bitter dispute over police tactics.
“I don’t think the mayor was wrong,” Giuliani said. “I’m sure he’s reacting to whatever reports he gets. He’s not a weather forecaster.”

“He said ‘the largest blizzard in the history of New York City’!” objected Brian Kilmeade.
“I’m not sure that was right or wrong,” Giuliani replied. “It depends on what the weather forecast said. Never criticize someone for overpreparing, because the next time you might not prepare as well and we’ll all be upset.” This is true.
Giuliani added that the travel ban should be lifted now, as the traffic would help melt the snow; de Blasio had lifted it minutes before.
