Jenna Bush Hager Clarifies ‘Hanky Panky’ Comments on Today

After making some comments on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live live this week that got our attention and others’, former First Daughter and NBC correspondent Jenna Bush Hager decided to call into the Today show on Friday to clarify what she meant by the words “hanky panky.”

Asked by a caller on Andy Cohen’s late night show if she ever “fooled around” in the White House, Bush Hager said there may have been a kiss or a “little hanky panky” with her now-husband on the roof.

After telling the Today show hosts that she was “shocked” and “humiliated” by the question, she admitted that she and her husband did share their first kiss on the White House roof. “It’s not the Fifty Shades of Grey people want it to be. Pretty innocent, but really lovely,” she explained. “I think I single-handedly brought back the word hanky panky.”

When Al Roker asked if the kissing ever crossed into “canoodling,” she assured him that it didn’t, adding that there was also no “heavy petting.”

So now we all know way more about Jenna Bush Hager’s teenage love life than we ever wanted to in the first place.
