Nicolle Wallace Covers Uranium One Story, Then Dares Fox News ‘To Run That Clip’
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Senate Judiciary Committee is launching an inquiry surrounding the Uranium One deal to investigate the extent of Russian corruption in the highly criticized agreement. This came on the heels of a report from The Hill which stated the FBI has evidence of bribery and kickbacks, including money routed to the Clinton Foundation.
This story has been covered extensively the past couple of days on Fox News, and today, President Donald Trump promoted it on Twitter, writing that it is the “biggest story that fake media doesn’t want to follow.” He followed that up by telling reporters that it was a “disgrace” that they weren’t covering the “real Russia story.”
This afternoon, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace threw a little shade at her Fox News counterparts during a segment in which she discussed the Uranium One story. Highlighting Trump’s comments today, Wallace turned to NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian, who noted that the story had already been covered by the mainstream media, as it was first exposed by the New York Times in 2015.
After Dilanian brought up the new reports and reiterated that the deal had been covered by the mainstream media, Wallace wondered aloud if Fox News would acknowledge her program covering the story.
“And been covered by the mainstream media on this network at 4:48,” Wallace exclaimed. “Fox, I dare you to run that clip tonight in prime.”
