‘National Disgrace’: Kellyanne Conway Rails Against Trump Phone Transcript Leakers
— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) August 4, 2017
Kellyanne Conway was on Fox & Friends this morning, and she ripped into the people who continue to release information from the Trump Administration.
The White House Special Counselor began by reiterating what President Trump said in West Virginia last night about how the inquiries into Russian election-interference are little more than a “fabrication.” Conway also dismissed the news about how Robert Mueller is convening a grand jury and issuing subpoenas in the latest step of his special counsel investigation.
“What really should concern everyone are these leaks that imperil national security,” said Conway. “Leaking the phone calls between our president and other heads of state is nothing short of a national disgrace.”
Conway was referring to the fact that Washington Post obtained transcripts of Trump’s first presidential phone conversations with the leaders of Australia and Mexico. Conway denounced the leaks by arguing about how foreign heads of state need to be sure that their conversations with the president can remain in confidence.
