‘She’s a Disgrace’: Van Jones Rips ‘Clownish’ Marjorie Taylor Greene After Off-the-Rails Hearing

CNN commentator Van Jones let loose on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after she sparked a firestorm in Thursday’s House Oversight Committee hearing.

During the meeting, Greene commented about Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s (D-TX) “fake eyelashes,” which prompted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to demand the remarks be expunged from the record.

“And I would like to move to take down Ms. Greene’s words,” Ocasio-Cortez told Chairman James Comer (R-KY). “That is absolutely unacceptable! How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person!”

Comer denied the motion.

Moments later, Crockett – under the guise of a point of order – said Greene has a “bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body.”

On Friday, Crockett called Greene “racist.”

“She is racist. I mean, I don’t have any questions about that,” she said.

Jones appeared on Friday’s edition of The Situation Room, where he blasted Greene.

“I think that the standard of conduct has been pulled down slow by some of these folks in Congress,” he said. “They go there ’cause they want to be celebrities. I’m talking about Marjorie Taylor Greene and others. Why do we even know her name? Marjorie Taylor Greene has never passed a bill. She’s never chaired a committee. She’s never done anything but be a provocateur and a clown and get under the skin of people and this kind of stuff that goes on. But whether she’s racist or not, she is a disgrace to the American people. She’s a disgrace to that Congress.”

Jones then challenged Greene to “Do your job” and pass just a single bill.
