Stewart Channels His Inner Angry NYCer to Ream de Blasio for Eating Pizza the Wrong Way

Let’s just get this out of the way right now: there are wrong ways to eat pizza. Don’t believe what anyone tells you, there are right ways and wrong ways to eat pizza. And eating pizza with a knife and fork might be more sanitary, but any good New Yorker knows that is the wrong way to eat pizza. So when proud New Yorker Jon Stewart learned that the new mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, eats his pizza with a knife and fork, he just let loose.

Stewart called out de Blasio for “eating pizza a la Trump,” a reference to Stewart’s first-ever pizza rant, and scolded de Blasio for saying it’s just how people eat pizza “in my ancestral homeland.” Stewart cried, “Were you elected the mayor of Italy? No!”

Stewart shamed de Blasio as much as he should, because the new Democratic mayor professed to be a very populist and down-to-earth man, but apparently eats pizza like he’s part of the upper crust (ba dum tss). Stewart concluded, “You’re a man of the people! Eat like one!”
