Trump Stops Crowd From Booing Kim Jong Un: ‘We Have to be Very Nice, Let’s See What Happens’
During President Trump‘s speech in Pennsylvania tonight, there seemed to be some confusion about whether the crowd was supposed to cheer or boo the news that the president is interested in meeting with Kim Jong Un.
As Trump took shots at the “fake, fake media” during his rally for GOP special election candidate Rick Saccone, he talked about the news that he will meet with the head of North Korea to negotiate for denuclearization and a cessation of their foreign aggressions. Trump talked about how the South Korean delegate visited him in the White House yesterday, and when he brought up Kim Jong Un’s name, there was a fair bit of booing from the audience.
“No, it’s very positive,” Trump said, chiding the booers. “After the meeting you may do that, but now we have to be very nice, because let’s see what happens.”
Throughout the speech, Trump took shots at his White House predecessors, mostly by saying that they could’ve solved the North Korea issue before his time but chose not to.
