‘We Are Truly Heartbroken’: The Five Pays an Emotional Tribute to Eric Bolling’s Son
The Five closed its show Monday night by paying an emotional tribute to former colleague Eric Bolling‘s son, who passed away Friday.
“A former member of The Five lost one of his loved ones this weekend,” a somber Kimberly Guilfoyle began. “You of course know Eric Bolling and his wife Adrienne and their beautiful son, Eric Chase. He passed away Friday in Colorado where he was attending college. He was just starting his sophomore year and he was only 19 years old.”
Guilfoyle informed viewers that it is still unclear how he passed and that an autopsy will be done next week. She also reiterated Bolling’s message on social media about how he is “overwhelmed” by the love and support his family has received and asked to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
“Eric Chase brought so much love and joy to his parents’ lives,” Guilfoyle continued. “If you’ve watched our show over the years, you’ve probably heard Eric Bolling proudly talk about his sweet son. Was a baseball player like his dad, who played left field. He was an amazing young man. He did so much to help others, and he was an A student and he excelled in mathematics. We’re very proud of him. We are truly heartbroken and we want to extend our deepest condolences to the Bolling family. Eric Chase, may he rest in eternal peace.”
The other hosts took turns to share their reflections. Juan Williams said there’s “nothing harder than losing a son.” Dana Perino praised Eric Chase’s “selfless love.” Greg Gutfeld expressed how he’s still in shock of Eric Chase’s passing and how he “can’t imagine” how the family is feeling.
