The UK government reported its first case of the H1N2 swine flu strain on Monday, commonly found in pigs, in humans.

According to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), the patient who contracted H1N2 exhibited only mild symptoms and has since made a full recovery.

The UKHSA disclosed that this case was identified through the country’s regular flu monitoring systems. However, the origin of the infection remains unclear at this time.

Health authorities are currently conducting follow-ups with individuals who had close contact with the patient who contracted the strain of swine flu. Additionally, heightened surveillance measures are being implemented in medical facilities and general practices across North Yorkshire, a northern English region, to monitor the situation closely.
