Rishi Sunak Sparks Intrigue With ‘Harry’ Joke In Festive Home Alone Video
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recreated scenes from Home Alone and Elf in a light-hearted video uploaded on Christmas Day.
The Prime Minister, usually seen in the throes of political deliberation, can be seen wandering the halls of the official residence at 10 Downing Street.
“Am I the only one here?” he asks.
On realising he is alone, without supervision, Sunak engages in Home Alone-style antics
He’s seen bowling a ball against stacked cans of Coca Cola, toasting marshmallows in the fire place and enjoying a plate of spaghetti drenched in maple syrup, a nod to 2003 film Elf.
The video even features a cameo from Downing Street’s most famous feline resident Larry the cat.
The clip ends with a phone call. As Sunak answers he says: “Harry, you have got the wrong number,”
The quip sparked speculation about who “Harry” was, some thinking it to be a dig at Prince Harry, but it’s believed Sunak is alluding to Harry Cole, The Sun’s political editor, who wrote an article in October about the Prime Minister’s personal number being leaked online.
