‘Idiots’: TalkTV Hosts Rip ‘Leftie’ Artists For Palestine Ceasefire Call
TalkTV host Kevin O’Sullivan blasted Tilda Swinton and Steve Coogan, among others, as “luvvies” and “lefties” for signing a petition for demanding an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza.
The group, calling itself, Artists For Palestine, published the petition on Tuesday in which it accused world governments of not just tolerating but “aiding and abetting” what they describe as Israel’s “war crimes” in Gaza. Israel’s bombardment and complete siege of Gaza has been underway since Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel on October 7th.
“As if anybody cares what a bunch of entertainers think,” O’Sullivan said on Friday.
He continued: “Now I’ll tell you who’s committed war crimes so far in this awful conflict in the Middle East: One side, it’s Hamas. Hamas. Hamas invaded… Israel has not so far committed any war crimes and we got that. So, this letter is factually incorrect.”
“Who the hell cares what a bunch of song and dance machines think?” O’Sullivan said.
Co-host David Bull then gave his contribution.
“They don’t really understand the nuances of war,” he said. “The fact is, it was a terrorist attack. Let’s call it what it was. It was a terrorist attack on a sovereign democratic country. Israel has every right to defend itself.”
Bull turned his rage back to Artists For Palestine: “This lot are sitting in Islington having a lovely cup of tea and, you know, their vegan milk or whatever, and they are so detached from the real world.”
