Former First Lady Melania Trump announced Thursday that she was launching her own line of non-fungible tokens.
The plan involves a platform to “release NFTs in regular intervals,” according to a statement the former first lady shared on Twitter. The first, titled “Melania’s Vision,” featured Melania Trump’s eyes looking at the viewer, backdropped by audio of her saying, “My vision is look forward with inspiration, strength, and courage.”
The piece, developed by artist Marc-Antonine Coulon, was being offered at a price of one Solana, equal to around $185 as of Thursday afternoon.

“I am proud to announce my new NFT endeavor, which embodies my passion for the arts, and will support my ongoing commitment to children through my Be Best initiative,” Trump added in her statement. “Through this new technology-based platform, we will provide children computer science skills, including programming and software development, to thrive after they age out of the foster community.”
In a separate statement to Breitbart News, she added, “Since leaving the White House, I have envisioned creating a new platform where Freedom of Speech can flourish. My new NFT gallery, MelaniaTrump.com, uses the decentralized nature of Blockchain Technology, and gives a direct connection to people worldwide”
The statement noted that she would hold an auction in January 2022 that included physical artwork and “a physical one-of-a-kind accessory” alongside the NFTs. The total market value of digital art alone reached $7 billion in November, according to an estimate by JPMorgan Chase.
