San Diego police have gathered in the community where a reported active shooter situation has been unfolding. The SWAT standoff is in Bankers Hill, an uptown neighborhood of San Diego.

UPDATE – 5:49 P.M. EST Hours after shutting down the neighborhood and deterred flights coming into the nearby airport, Fox’s Shepard Smith tweeted that the gunman has been taken into police custody.
