Rep. Allen West has a record of headline-making remarks, and on Thursday, in an interview with ThinkProgress, West again made comments that some may find offensive and inaccurate. LGBT discrimination in the workplace, he said, isn’t a problem in this country; it’s not a big issue with small businesses.

Hill was joined by singer and LGBT activist Clay Aiken.

President Barack Obama‘s decision to support same-sex marriage will become a campaign issue, Bill O’Reilly said on Thursday. Taking a look at the politics of marriage, O’Reilly knocked the media for being unable to have an honest debate about the issue, singling out one particular New York Times reporter.

The latest outrage in the political theater that is general election campaigning is about Mitt Romney‘s high school years. The Washington Post published a story about Romney’s high school bullying, detailing an incident that Romney said he doesn’t remember. ABC News reached out to former classmates of Romney’s, and several of them didn’t have the most positive things to share.

Well, that was quick! President Obama‘s re-election campaign released a new ad touting the president’s newly evolved view on gay marriage — while criticizing Mitt Romney for his views, which is bringing us “backwards.”

Bristol Palin had some fightin’ words about President Obama on Thursday, regarding his invoking Malia and Sasha Obama in his announcement about supporting same-sex marriage. While it’s great to listen to your kids, she said, sometimes “dads simply need to be dads.” Thank goodness they’re not younger. Or, you know, we’d be looking at Dora the Explorer for attorney general.

In Wednesday night’s “Rewrite,” Lawrence O’Donnell took a look at Fox’s Shepard Smith‘s remarks about President Obama‘s support of gay marriage. Smith is often the “lone voice of reason at Fox News,” O’Donnell said — and now it’s time to sit back and watch the network “evolve.” His advice? Follow Shep’s lead.

Jon Stewart, on Wednesday night, gave President Obama credit for his announcement about supporting gay marriage — and then took a look at North Carolina, which voted in favor on an amendment that would ban same-sex marriage. Thanks, Stewart said, for taking away the brief “glimpse” of happiness.
