Tupac Designed a Restaurant and it’s Coming to Life Next Week
Tupac was a man of many interests. Before he died in 1996, he had film and television aspirations, thought “running for a local government position would suit him,” was writing an autobiography with plans to write an inspirational book as well as a cookbook with contributions from musicians. The recipes from the book would be served as daily specials at a restaurant he would call Powamekka Cafe.
He even went so far as to sketch out a logo for the restaurant, and now on September 13th, the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death, the restaurant will come to life.

Take 3 Burgers has teamed with Sam Hansen, a marketing director for the Fresno Grizzlies. The menu includes dishes like “California Love Chicken Sandwich, Hennessey Apple Butter chicken wings, a Mac-and-Cheeseburger and Thug Passion cake pops (champagne cake with Alize-flavored frosting).”
In a statement, Hansen said “Working on Powamekka Café makes me feel like I’m bringing Pac’s vision to life.”
