Day Two of the New York Post‘s Campaign to Put Spitzer Back in Office
As I predicted, yesterday’s ‘Say It Ain’t Ho!’ New York Post cover announcing that former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was interested in returning to office was just the beginning of the Post‘s campaign to create its own storyline based around the ever-friendly headline-maker Spitzer.
In today’s installment the Post checks in with Spitzer’s hooker’s mom, who is shocked, shocked! that Spitzer would even consider returning to office. Tomorrow’s episode will probably feature “friends” of Spitzer’s “long-suffering” wife illuminating the public-at-large re; her feelings on the matter. And then maybe a Post poll? And voila! By the end of the week we will all have a good sense of what Spitzer’s political future holds for him should he (when he?) decide to throw his hat back in the ring later this year.
