Governors Are Just Like Us: Scott Walker Had To Sleep On Airport Floor Thanks To Hail Storm
There’s one constant in life; travelling sucks for everyone. I don’t care if you have a private jet filled with champagne and stewardesses who time travelled here from a decade where it was still socially acceptable to hire based on physical appearance, “getting there” will never be half the fun. Just look at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. He may be one of the most powerful men in the country, but he still had to sleep on the floor of an airport just because a few drops of rain decided to turn frozen.
Walker was going to a to a National Governors Association meeting in Salt Lake City when giant pieces of hail (about an inch in diameter) began raining down on the airport. Apparently, 1,000 people were caught there overnight. Walker, just like any other poor traveler, had to spend the night on the floor. His only advantage? For security reasons, he got to sleep on the floor of a conference room instead of the floor of the terminal.
Below is his Twitter account of the ordeal:
Of course, right now, a stiff back and smelly suit are the least of Walker’s problems. Still, there’s one question here that no one’s answering. With Walker spending the night in that conference room, how much tape did he put on the walls and how much did it cost to pull it off?
Below is a news report on Walker’s exciting night from Colorado’s KUSA:
