‘Great Question… That’s Awesome’: Bill Belichick Gets Even More Cranky Than Usual at Presser

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, hardly a chipper sort to begin with, does not suffer fools kindly. On Wednesday, he got — what he considered — a foolish question at a press conference in advance of his team’s game with the New York Jets, and his response was a thing of Belichick-ian beauty.

A reporter asked about whether Belichick, in analzying past film of the Jets, had found occasion to study the infamous “buttfumble” play — one of the great NFL bloopers of the past few years.

You will need to turn your speakers all the way up to hear Belichick’s frosty reply.

“Yeah, I don’t think we’ll get to that,” Belichick grumbled, in a barely audible voice. “Great question, though. That’s awesome.”

We concur, if only because it yielded that priceless reaction from the Pats coach.
