Harry Reid: O’Donnell Opponent Chris Coons Is “My Pet”

While Team Rove and Team Palin butt heads on how the Republican party should handle Christine O’Donnell, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid offered his thoughts on her opponent, Chris Coons: “He’s my pet.”

The senator from Nevada added, “He’s my favorite.”

Sen. Reid, evidently unable to contain his enthusiasm, then rattled off the reasons he’s so into Delaware’s Democratic candidate for Senate:

Let me tell you about him: A graduate of Yale Divinity School. Yale Law School. A two-time national debate champion. He represents two-thirds of the state now, in an elected capacity. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen him or heard him speak, but he is a dynamic speaker. I don’t mean loud or long; he’s a communicator.

Reid continued in this manner for some time, before giddily concluding:

I just think the world of him. He’s my pet.

The media have yet to confirm whether or not Senator Reid has carved “HR <3 CC” into any D.C.-area trees.

Took you long enough to report on this. I can’t help but notice if it’s something that could be embarrassing to a Repub, you can’t get it posted fast enough, but it takes you days to report on Dem gaffes.

The other night, Jon Stewart asked how the Democrats were going to f**k this up. Here’s Mr Reid giving an early example. Democrats everywhere should be in *face palm* mode.
I have to say though, politics, USA style has to be the fascinating thing I have ever come across, be it on TV or on the internet. Way more entertaining than the British, and regardless of all the name calling and outlandish things said, still manages to stay on the right side of chaotic.
For all the crazy things said, I doubt I’d ever see Bachmann and Pelosi get into a fight, while Grayson tried to bash one of them over the head with the Speaker’s gavel. I can’t get enough. Keep it up America!

I have no idea why those words would come out of Reid’s mouth. Sarah Palin is from WAYYYY UP there so her terms and phrases are understandably strange to us…Harry is from NV…is it that different there? This isn’t his first deuce from his mouth

Harry Reid is the gift that keeps on giving. He gives Christine O’Donnel her first TV ad on a silver platter. And she is going to have lots of money with which to buy TV ads. She got $1,000,000 to play with the first day after the election.
