Fox News is reporting that write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski has defeated GOP candidate Joe Miller to become Senator for the state of Alaska. Not only does this mean that the traditional Republican candidate has defeated the Sarah Palin-backed Tea Party candidate, but its the first time in a very long time that an office as high as US Senator has been elected by write-in campaign.

Let’s not pooh-pooh Miller or the Drop Out Governor. Losing to a write in candidate is an enormous achievement.

I understand that Murkowski, before she left D.C. to fly home and claim victory, lambasted both DeMented and the Drop Out Governor for radicalizing the party and denying it the Senate.

Congratulations to Murkowski. This was not only a rebuke of the tea party and Joe Miller, but a rebuke of the former half-term governor from Alaska.

Palin is a self-made hero? I thought McCain who thrust her into the national spotlight and Fox who continued talking about her after the election made her. And who is she a “hero” to? What has she done aside from take 5 years and multiple universities to gain a bachelors in communications even leaving one university because, as her father says, Asians made her uncomfortable.

In fairness, the Drop Out Governor did go a snow shovel and apply a truckload of make-up, burn a hole in the ozone layer with several dozen cans of Aqua Net, spray glue on her butt and walk around a stage.

Calling this a Palin defeat is absurd. She endorsed him in the primary. He won. It was incumbent upon HIM to run a good campaign. He didn’t. And given that he wasn’t exactly effusive about her when asked repeatedly about her qualifications for the presidency, I’d say she’s not necessarily too unhappy about his loss.

And as for Murkowski, let’s see. She was, um, THE INCUMBENT. Her own father was GOVERNOR. She doesn’t like Palin because she beat her father. So is it hard to see why Murkowski wouldn’t hold her in the highest regard? Hardly.

Miller was a nobody, politically speaking, and the incumbent not only lost the primary, but didn’t exactly blow him out in the general. If she doesn’t learn from her experience, she’ll be toast again.

One last thing: This ludicrous and immature meme about the “Drop Out” governor is absurd. I seem to recall our current President HAD A JOB when he ran for President. I guess that makes him a senatorial drop out by this inane standard. Time to grow up, Queenie.

Your comparison of the drops out is laughable, but I must give it to you it’s funny. One left a job for a bigger one in the same field, and the other left for a reality show (Fox news) to make extra box outside her field.
