Justin Bieber Is One Vengeful Tween
Justin Bieber is a powerful force in music and media, with his enormous album sales and millions of YouTube views.
But he also has 4.5 million Twitter followers – and this weekend we saw what happens when you get on Bieber’s bad side. He might tweet your phone number.
Gawker’s Adrian Chen has the breakdown of the since-deleted tweet, which said “everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX :) or text.”
The number belongs to Kevin Kristopik, a Detroit teenage hacker who was messing with Bieber’s friend and successfully retrieved Bieber’s phone number. Here’s some more background:
It appears to be payback on some level for Kristopik hacking the Twitter account of a childhood friend of Justin’s named Ryan Butler, and using it to get Justin’s phone number. On July 27th, Kristopik tweeted “im the one who hacked ryan and got justins #.” When asked today on Twitter, “You hacked ryan, and now jb wants payback so he tweeted your number?” Kristopik replied, “Kinda.”
Needless to say, Kristopik was inundated with Bieber fans trying to get a hold of their dear leader.
The tweet was deleted and never addressed. Bieber spent Sunday interacting with Kanye West on Twitter, ending with the two agreeing to collaborate with Raekwon on an upcoming song (or maybe just a remix of “Runaway Love”). To some, this might be a more disturbing revelation.
Either way, the moral of the story is don’t mess with the Bieber or his army.
