Watch Skip Bayless Rip Odell Beckham Jr. For Partying in Miami With Justin Bieber Days Before Playoffs
Sometime shortly after the New York Giants’ victory over Washington in Sunday’s regular season finale, the team’s wide receiving corps, led by Odell Beckham Jr., separated from the rest of the club and caught a flight to Miami. Later that evening, they headed for the nightclub Liv. And according to a New York Daily News report, the receivers partied with Justin Bieber and Trey Songz until at least 6:00 a.m. ET.
Beckham and the other receivers then spent Monday, a day off for the Giants, in South Florida together on a boat. They were due back at the team’s practice facility on Tuesday to begin preparations for their first round playoff showdown against Green Bay.
Skip Bayless thought it was “a bad, bad, look” for Beckham and the other participating Giants, who Bayless referred to as “divas.” The Fox Sports 1 hot taker opened today’s episode of Undisputed with a rant on the impromptu field trip.
“This is a huge deal,” Bayless said. And this was a really, really bad idea by — starting with Odell Beckham and all the diva receivers on the New York football Giants. It’s such a bad idea and a bad look.”
Bayless referenced the famous 2008 trip to Cabo taken by Dallas quarterback Tony Romo and his then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson during the team’s bye week prior to their home playoff game against the Giants — a game the Cowboys lost. Bayless said that Beckham and the other Giants should’ve heeded the lessons from that episode.
It’s a bad look. And these kids today well know that if they’re goonna go clubbing on South Beach all night long until the sun comes up and they’re gonna go to multiple clubs, and they’re gonna be hanging with Two Chainz, Trey Songz, Johnny Manziel and obviously Justin Bieber — If you’re going to be around Biebs, you’re going to get on social media. Am I right? Is there any way to avoid that not going public? It’s going to explode publicly. They had to know it, they probably wanted it to explode publicly because they want to see and be seen. It’s the wrong place. It’s the wrong time.
