Kagan’s Hearings Give Sen. Franken A Chance To Brush Up On His Drawing

While Slate points out that Elena Kagan seems to be having a good time at her confirmation hearings, others involved don’t necessarily seem to be quite as entertained. Exhibit A: Senator Al Franken‘s drawing a sketch of Senator Jeff Sessions during the hearings yesterday.

According to CBS News, an “AP photographer snapped a photograph of Franken’s sketch” yesterday. The photo has circulated through several news outlets–with a side-by-side comparison. We must admit: Franken is pretty good.

So good, that apparently Sessions wants to keep the drawing:

Franken said that Sessions asked him for the drawing, and that Franken was happy to give him the original copy.

“I’m going to make an inscription saying, ‘A commanding and authoritative Sen. Sessions questions Solicitor General Elena Kagan,’” Franken said.

And so the hearings continue…

Hell, this moron doesn’t need to listen to the proceedings, he’s already been told how he’s going to vote.

pywimp: Unlike you and your Lego blocks, grown-up people can multitask.

“I’m going to make an inscription saying, ‘A commanding and authoritative Sen. Sessions questions Solicitor General Elena Kagan,’” Franken said.”

I wonder if Sessions caught the irony in Franken’s statement.

    Nah-h-h-h!
