Mediaite Power Grid: Top 10 Most-Viewed Names, July Edition
This past Thursday Mediaite celebrated its one month anniversary — you can find a photo gallery and recap here. A couple of people have since asked us if we could break down our over all traffic numbers and publish the most trafficked Power Grid pages since July 6. The answer is yes! And the results are actually sort of fascinating: who knew Christopher Hitchens had so much Power Grid game! One side note before we get to the results; we were joking with Mark Glaser during this week’s Office Hours that the Power Grid was like the sports pages for media people. This comparison appears to have been borne out by the number of sports media people (4) who have made it into this list. Perhaps we should be considering Power Grid trading cards. And with that in mind we bring you our top ten (in case you were curious, Maureen Dowd just missed the cut at #11).
10) Malcolm Gladwell

8) Erin Andrews

7) Dan Abrams

6) Paul Krugman

Trying to understand criteria. At least half of these names are between innocuous and useless when it comes to actual information or expertise.
Kathy Griffin On Gays In The Military, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell: It’s A Generational Thing

Kathy Griffin was in D.C. earlier this week for a rally at the capitol to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." While the My Life On The D List celebrity has made gay rights one of her biggest causes, she also took a moment to talk to interviewer Liz Glover about Scientology, Levi Johnston, and flying on Southwest.
Michael Moore Would Have Had Avatar Win Over Hurt Locker
Just because the Academy Awards happened two weeks ago doesn't mean that it's too late for Michael Moore to say his piece. Mainly, that Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker was a piece of crap because it was "lazy" and that James Cameron's Avatar was amazing because of its portrayal of how we "privatized war" and treated the planet.
