Moment Of Glenn: Beck Launches Book Club

Glenn Beck appears to have caught the book club fever. On today’s rather scattered show — one which veered from Che Guevara t-shirts, to Mao loving Obama officials, to vintage Kodak commercials, to tears — Beck took a moment to introduce his viewers to both his personal library, as well as the books he suspects the White House is guilty of reading (clip below). Among his recommendations of books Americans, and Anita Dunn(!), should be reading but aren’t: The 5000 Year Leap (“the simplest book to understand”), The Bible, The Words of Martin Luther King, The Real George Washington (“a real book”), Democracy In America, The Autobiography of Ben Franklin. So, all in all, not such a bad selection. Get thee to a library!

Your article states the show was scattered and launches a book-club. Talk about editorializing. The show was about the “Communications Czar” Anita Dunn’s love and adoration for Mao Tse-Tung “Chairman Mao” (Communist Leader for 50 Years in China). Does Mediaite find that disturbing? Guess not. Go chase the balloon story Mediaite.

In Europe, European Union Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso is widely known for being a former maoist in his youth. That group strived a communist take over of Portugal. There’s even footage of him taking part of a rally, yapping about the bourgeoisie university system. Does anybody care today? No. Nobody cares. Even the most seething critics of Barroso never bring it up. Today he’s rolling his fingers, waiting to serve as a conservative representative on the Commission a second time.

Amazing, isn’t it? In America, where there’s no socialist movements – people are scared crapless of someone who says the name “Mao Tse-tung”. In Europe, where there are actual communist and socialist parties elected into parliaments, someone who was an actual maoist ascribing a communist revolution in his youth doesn’t even make its way into a bathroom reader.

Yeah, like Glenn Beck ever read any of those books…

Did you watch the segment, or are you “assuming” you know what he said?

    Have you?

Well, there you have it: the daily BS from m and Jelperman and Mediaite. Someone in the Obama administration hangs on every word from the great mass murderer of all time and it’s okay if that person is from the Obama administration. What can anyone say?

A good idea. Perhaps this collection of right-wing intellectual eunuchs will be able to finish & interpret “My Pet Goat” for BushDrunk. Then attempt to move on to “The 3 Little Pigs.” In time, with concentrated tutoring, they might even bring out & attempt “Little Black Sambo.” The potential for these wizards is just ginormous.

Apparently Ms. McNichol doesn’t really know about “The 5000 Year Leap” because it is a crazy diatribe by some Mormon lunatic. Any sane person who has read that book knows what a crock it is. Beck is seriously mentally ill and should not be espousing anything to anybody. If you don’t think he is insane after watching him cry and long for the days when COMMERCIALS tugged at the heart strings then you yourself should be checked out by a psychiatrist. His idiotic speech about the good old “simpler” times ignores the fact that these times NEVER EXISTED just like those commercials which were MADE UP and never happened.

I’m always amazed at how angry the left is towards Beck.

You guys need to chill out.
