Mystery Military Plane Flying Over New York Was Reportedly Part of Trump Rescue Exercise
Last week, New Yorkers were briefly nervous when they noticed a large military plane circling Manhattan for about 40 minutes, despite a no-fly zone over the area. Immediately, concerns about another 9/11 were expressed on social media due to now advanced warning being given about the plane’s appearance over the city.
Well, it appears we’ve now been given the explanation for why the C-130 (along with two helicopters) were doing maneuvers over the city.
According to DNAinfo New York, this was all part of a drill to help figure out how to extricate President-elect Donald Trump from Trump Tower.
Sources told “On the Inside” that the flyovers were part of an “emergency relocation drill” designed to identify locations, primarily in Central Park, where a chopper could touch down near Trump’s home inside Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue and 56th Street, and safely evacuate Trump and others from the city.
“It was the military doing their homework,” one source said.
“They were making plans how to remove him, mapping plans and strategizing,” another source said.
In the event of an emergency, the president would be whisked by the Secret Service north to the park, and then flown in a helicopter to the nation’s capital or a secret government site in Virginia or West Virginia, sources said.
Last week, while the exercise was going on, the NYPD couldn’t initially account for what was going on. They were apparently only informed right before the flyover and were not made aware it would be a large military aircraft.
A military spokesperson stated last week that it was nothing more than a “routine training mission” and repeated that statement when asked by DNAinfo on this current story.
