NBC-Owned Twitter Feed Sources, Then Recants TMZ On Leno News

What a difference six months make! The power of TMZ is such these days that a mere tweet can set even those most established media organizations afire with nary a question mark in sight. A short time ago TMZ reported and Twittered out that Jay Leno “Jay Leno has made a new deal with NBC, which gives him “The Tonight Show” from 11:35 – 12:35.” Shortly thereafter Twitter was ablaze with the @TMZ news….including @BreakingNews the Twitter feed, which is owned by NBC.
Alas, according to Gossip Cop, who talked to Leno’s rep, there is no such deal (or there is no such official deal?). Ah, the dangers of depending on a quick RT of TMZ for news about your own network.
