Sarah Palin Meets A Real Mama Grizzly In New TLC Show, Of Course

video

TLC is smartly capitalizing on the Sarah Palin buzz with a lengthy roll-out of material based on her upcoming show Sarah Palin’s Alaska, premiering November 14 at 9pmET.

First, there was the trailer. Now we get a clip, featuring – what else – a mama grizzly.

In the clip, Palin is fishing with Todd, Piper, and her niece McKinley (a new character!), when they come across a bear. Then, more bears, and eventually a bear fight. “This is awesome!” says Palin. “McKinley watch this!”

Later, we get the “confessional” type interview:

I love watching these mama bears. What I see in that is what a mom would do too. Anything and everything, laying down her life for her kids.

There’s a cute exchange too with Piper, who starts roaring at the bears. Clearly this whole show proves Sarah Palin will definitely run, or definitely not run, for President.

P.S. This show will be an enormous ratings success.

Here’s the clip:

Silly. The show is not about Alaska. It’s about the Drop Out Governor and her zany family and how they relate to the Drop Out Governor.

Poor jealous leftists. You have absolutely no one with the star power of Sarah Palin.

BTW, envy is very unbecoming, especially for an old white man like you King.

King, if you hate trailers so badly, why don’t you move into something else?

I cannot wait for this show. I know that sounds cheezy but I don’t care. I’m a big Sarah Palin fan. I like her even if fancy celebrity types say she’s stupid. I don’t let other people tell me what to think. I’m a feminist too so suck it Gloria. :)

On the one hand, Piper’s eventual tell-all autobiography will epic on ways not seen since Mommy Dearest. On the other hand, I feel sad for kids who are so blatantly pimped out by their attention-seeking parents. Palin is like Dina Lohan with better stylists. It’s gross.

I agree. She isn’t the only one that does this but she is better at it than most. I feel sorry for all of them including the grandchild. I have no problem with her making money and becoming a celeb but the children stuff is sad.

Imagine getting a TV show and having your kids on it! This is the most outrageous case of child abuse I’ve ever seen!

BREAKING NEWS: The Drop Out Governor just put down her poll long enough to twit her endorsement of John Raese for Senate in Pennsylvania. Which is interesting since the Raese’s claim a homestead exemption in Florida and he is running from West Virginia.

See there you go again. It is not this TV show that I am talking about. It is her political stuff when she brings along the children I am speaking of. Like the 2008 campaign and others.

That took an unexpected turn, but how very true. I know Bucky and Obtuse Angle have alreay stated that they oppose a woman’s right to chose even in the case of rape or incest, and the Drop Out Governor and Randi the Witch seem to have indicated that is their position.

I think it has to do more with self-absorption than geography, Kumquat.

    Exactly.

It’s possible to be politician and not pimp out your own kids for personal political and financial gain. But what she’s done since her entre to international fame and fortune is just gross and selfish. I think what she’s done to them for her own vainglorification is shameful, but, as I said, the only upside is reading the eventual tell-all Piper’s going to write.

  • writer

Ah, it’s geography. So a person’s location depends on whether or not they’re a good parent. Like if Ozzie and Harriet stayed on the set with David and Ricky, they were good parents. But if they went on location, then they were bad. These left wing explanations of what makes good parenting are fascinating.

  • writer

I think what she’s done to them for her own vainglorification is shameful,

So you believe that Palin must have her kids along with her, or there’d be no interest in her at all. And if she was always seen without them, you be bitching about that too. We know that no matter what she does, where she goes, or whether the kids are with her or not, the left hates her. So just be up front about it and say you hate her. These phony excuses of ‘look, she’s got her kids with her!” and just another of your excuses to hate her.

  • whytee

I don’t hate her. And what she does isn’t simply taking her kids with her. She has forced her kids into being actors in her own personal mythmaking campaign. This kind of massive attention heaped on kids at an early age creates psychological distortion that can really inhibit normal development. That’s why you see so many child actors committing suicide and falling into drugs and engaging in bizarre attention-seeking behavior. When you have that much fame and scrutiny that early, it creates a scenario that can’t and doesn’t hold up to everyday reality. I hope that Palin’s kids avoid this, but the way she especially uses Piper as a prop seems completely wrong to me.

My kids are the most important thing to me. If I thought anything I did would endanger their well-being, I wouldn’t do it. I’m not saying she shouldn’t be a public person — I’m saying she shouldn’t pimp out her kids as props for her own vainglorification.

  • ROCKSTEADY

Oh shes so good at parenting,She has shown her kids how to give up on a job instead of finishing, she has been good at teaching abstonance, and so good at teaching how everyone should be creative equal and that true lesson of grab that almighty dollar no matter who you have to run over or leave behind.

  • stoogedudes

I’m actually wanting to see this show, since this is most likely not a political show. Mrs. Palin seems like a good mother and this is the side of Sarah Palin I like to see.

I’ll put my political hat aside and enjoy the show. After all, Alaska is such a beautiful state.

If you have the channel RFD-TV on your satellite or cable, I suggest watching a show called R5 Sons Alaska. Another good show highlighting the beauty of the Alaskan landscape.

  • Harry Flashman

    Wow.

The comments from those on the left is truly are truly astounding in the depth of hatred for this woman. They pound her for having her kids on camera, but would (and have) just assuredly pound her for leaving them behind.

You lefties have nothing but hatred, nothing but bitter talking points. you created an environment that forced her to leave the Governor’s office with frivolous ethics complaints, then pound her for leaving.

I’d like just one of you to give a rational reason for the hatred directed toward her, the key word there being rational.

You people are incredible, in the literal sense of the word.

  • Harry Flashman

    Rocksteady…

I’m REAL sure nothing like an unexpected pregnancy ever happened to any of the kids in your family. Just Sarah Palin’s. Nope. These things don’t happen to lefty’s families, just to the right.

Get this – there is not a parent in this country that can completely control what their 17 year old does, no matter what they believe and preach to them. At that age they nod their heads, say yes mom, then do as they damn well please. How is that Palin’s fault? How does that make her any less?

Your argument, if anyone takes just a second to examine it, is trash.

LOL. “Forced her to leave the Governor’s office”? You don’t think Schwarzenegger and other governors regularly field ethics complaints, even frivolous ones? How do you think they endure through these “frivolous ethic complaints” and manage to serve their entire terms?

Palin pushed Bristol out into the international spotlight and forced her to live a lie. That’s gross. Bristol is not to blame for any of the hideousness her mother forced her to endure.

I hope they go over to the West Coast in the Bering Strait and take a picture of Russia.

Excuse me Sir.I have no problem with children making bad choices, but not to teach a child tools you can use when you make some choices is ignorant to me. SArah Palen doesn’t seem to think knowledge about everything is power.I have taught my own children noone is perfect so make sure you understand whats going on before you make that choice
For you to think as an adult i don’t know people make bad decisions be them a young adult or old adult is not understanding what i’m saying. Life choices are hard enough, you should know all facts and understand them.

Yeah, almost as bad as Ozzie and Harriet Nelson… those child abusers. I suppose if someone else’s kids were hired to take part in the series, that would be totally different and entirely okay?

  • writer

It’s a matter of left wing perception. As I said, if the kids were never in sight, the left would say she’s terrible for leaving them home. Any time they appear in public, she’s ‘pimping’ them. With the far left, Palin is in a lose-lose situation. It’s to be expected, and it’s not going to change.

whytee, here’s a typical quote from the left wing Salon website:

“Down’s syndrome children surely must require more work and attention than children who are born without it. Yes?So why is she running off to leave her children, all of them….”

Damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t.

  • whytee

Most of the criticism I saw of her treatment of Trig was waving him around onstage (“like he was a loaf of bread,” as one mom of a Down’s Syndrome child put it) in the middle of the night and having him at book signings where he came in contact with lots of public germs. I never saw the “why is she running off to leave her children” comment, so I’d appreciate if you could post a link to that.
