Trump Reportedly ‘Very Pissed Off’ at Former Aide’s New White House Tell-All: ‘Who is This Guy?’

Former White House aide Cliff Sims has a tell-all book called Team of Vipers coming out tomorrow. Already-published excerpts of his book include allegations that Kellyanne Conway was a big leaker and that John Kelly vented to him about “the worst fucking job I’ve ever had.”

Sims gave his first interview to ABC News this morning, and this afternoon Politico reported that the White House isn’t happy about it––especially President Donald Trump:

President Donald Trump is “very pissed off” and “really hopping mad” at former aide Cliff Sims’ new book that reveals firsthand the chaos and infighting that is ever present in his White House, according to several current and former White House officials.

Trump is asking aides: “Who is this guy? Why is he writing this book? He wasn’t even in meetings,” the sources said. He also dismissively refers to Sims — who served until last May as director of White House message strategy and a special assistant to the president —as “the videographer” because he also helped Trump with the weekly video and radio addresses, according to three current and former White House officials.

One former White House official said there’s such internal frustration about this that it’s brought all the “warring” factions inside the administration together.

One anonymous person close to the White House told Politico that Trump “feels duped by a guy who he trusted.”

On The View today, Sims said that despite his book and his concerns about the President, “I believed in him while I was there and I’m not here to apologize for working for him.”

Sims is set to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
