Soundbite: Jane Velez-Mitchell Balances Living Simply With Success

Now I don’t know about you all, but to me if you host a national syndicated successful daily television show, write a bestselling book and you’re one of the most sought-after and active speakers in the entire CNN/HLN universe, that doesn’t sound very simple.”

— Head of HLN Ken Jautz at the book party for Issues host Jane Velez-Mitchell last night in New York. Her book, “iWant: My Journey from Addiction and Overconsumption to a Simpler, Honest Life” is out this week and will debut on the New York Times Bestseller’s List. Velez-Mitchell spoke after Jautz, joking, “Fabulous concept: ‘Let’s have a cocktail party to celebrate a book about recovering from alcoholism.’” She later said of her book, “I really think that we’re helping, and it’s really thanks to everyone.”

Boy, she does sound really busy, I guess that’s why she can’t find the time to apologize to the Duke Lacrosse team, huh? What about the Hofstra University debacle?
JVM said: “She A young woman lured away from a party, tied up and brutally raped, allegedly by five men in a dormitory bathroom. Cops say all five of these sickos took turns raping her one by one.”
As far as Jane was concerned these men (the “sickos”) were guilty, and they would have to prove themselves innocent, just so she can keep her “War on Women” spiel going.
The “War on Women” thing is pathetic, and it shows how much of a hypocrite she is, when she rambles on and on about men disrespecting, abusing and killing women, but then she’s just fine and okay with Perez Hilton calling that Prejean woman a “b**ch” and a “c**t.” Pathetic, Jane.

“Bomb Shell!” Earth Shattering!” “Explosive!” “Shocking!” “Seismic!” My God, why can’t she just TALK to the camera. Every word out of her mouth has to drip with drama and sensationalism. She has got to be the most annoying person in the news media.

She is a thoroughly obnoxious, overbearing, inarticulate, screaming individual. A near-twin of Nancy Grace.
Neither culture nor dignity ever crossed their paths. How completely “Amurcuhn” they both are.

Rory Kennedy To Produce Rosie O’Donnell’s New Talk Show

Our sister site Gossip Cop broke the news on Friday that Rosie O'Donnell was signing a deal with Warner Brothers to have her own talk show in syndication by 2011-2012 (coincidentally when Queen Oprah is going off the air). Now Gossip Cop has confirmed: the show will be produced by none other than Robert F. Kennedy's daughter, Rory Kennedy.

MSNBC Jumps The Gun On Rep. Stupak’s Health Vote

At 1 pm today, MSNBC was reporting that Democratic House member Bart Stupak was voting "yes" on the health care bill, via a chyron on the bottom of their screen, even as the hosts were saying he was "close to" a deal. C-Span repeated the same story. At 1:20 pm Stupak told reporters that he's still planning on voting no, but "getting there." So how did a major news org end up reporting otherwise?
