Radio host Rush Limbaugh expressed his objection to a CNN.com report relating to the shifting demographics in the United States, saying that there was an “implied threat” in the story. CNN.com published a story on the country’s booming Latino population and what it means for the Republican party, inspired by census data showing that, for the first time in the country’s history, more than half of children born in the U.S. are of a racial or ethnic minority.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney appeared on Fox & Friends on Thursday where he further detailed his proposal to get unemployment below 6 percent before the end of his first term. He responded to President Obama who said that Romney was outlining policies that echoed those of former president George W. Bush. Romney said “These are new problems that were created by President Obama.”

Politico’s Dylan Byers reports Monday that Rush Limbaugh‘s radio show saw a ratings drop in several key radio markets last month, following the firebrand’s Sandra Fluke “slut” scandal. In the age 25-54 demographic, Limbaugh’s ratings fell 27 percent in New York City, 31 percent in Houston-Galveston, 40 percent in Seattle-Tacoma, and 35 percent in Jacksonville, according to Politico’s industry source.

If Rush Limbaugh hadn’t already made up his mind about the Trayvon Martin case (which he probably has for a while now), the new evidence released in the last few days would have been enough for him to declare George Zimmerman innocent. Describing the new information and pictures, Limbaugh argued that the story “was falling apart” and had become “the Duke Lacrosse case all over again.”

Rush Limbaugh spent a portion of his program today celebrating a victory in the so-called “War on Women,” as a CBS/New York Times poll released today show what he says Democrats are trying hardest to hide: Mitt Romney is actually quite popular among women. “Things are falling apart for Obama,” he noted today, explaining that after all the attempts to say women are “miserable” and “oppressed,” the polls they “live and die for” are turning their backs on the party. On his radio show Friday, Rush Limbaugh dismissed the notion that the alleged high-school pranks committed by presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney count as “bullying,” saying “You had long hair in 1965, you were gonna get razzed. It didn’t matter,” adding that “1965 is a great year, bullying was legal.”

On Monday, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh tackled issues raised by former NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw on Meet the Press on Sunday about the nature of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Brokaw told NBC host David Gregory that the WHCD has evolved overtime and is now alienating average citizens. Limbaugh said that the genesis of this change arose when the media became advocates for Democratic policies and politicians. “The Washington press corps is groupies for both the president – when he’s a Democrat – and for the Hollywood showbiz people and glitterati they invite,” said Limbaugh.

Buzzfeed‘s Andrew Kaczynski continued his site’s curation of the Mitt Romney Awkward Moment Museum today by posting an account of the presumptive GOP nominee’s  ”little reported” disorderly persons arrest from 1981. We actually did report on that incident in November, but Kaczynski is right, the mainstream media has so far ignored that arrest, as well as the other incident we reported on then: Romney’s altercation with a volunteer traffic cop at the Winter Olympics.

Last night on a heated edition of AC360, CNN’s Anderson Cooper gave a sharp retort to Rush Limbaugh over his comments that “the silver fox” is “reported more in gossip columns to be at the gym or that bar or a restaurant than he is in the studio,” featuring him on his nightly showcase of ridicule, “The Ridiculist.”

On Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh exuded schadenfreude over CNN’s having the lowest rated month in more than a decade, taking a dig at AC360 anchor Anderson Cooper.

“Silver fox, Anderson Cooper–” Limbaugh ribbed. “I swear, that guy is reported more in gossip columns at the gym, or at that bar or restaurant than he is in the studio! And CNN probably thinks that’s great: ‘That’ll help the demo! Anderson out there doing all this stuff, people will be curious and tune in and watch.’ It isn’t working!”

The crew over at Fox News have not, for most of the day, taken particularly well to President Obama’s appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night– nor have many conservatives. On The Last Word tonight, Lawrence O’Donnell expressed no surprise at this line of attack, but some dismay at how it was not blindingly obvious to many arguing against the appearance that so much precedent corroborated its legitimacy– from Ronald Reagan on Dean Martin’s Celebrity Roasts to Richard Nixon hitting up Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.

On his show Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh brought up a name that recently enveloped him in controversy: Sandra Fluke. But it wasn’t about contraception. This time, the topic at hand was student loans. Saying Fluke is “coordinating” with the White House, Limbaugh noted the their similar tweets about rising interest rates on loans.

Right now, the country is embroiled in the Great Canine Controversy of 2012 which is both the name for what is happening as well the title of my spec script for a Hotel for Dogs sequel. It’s all gotten fairly complicated but, to explain briefly, President Obama is Short Round and Mitt Romney is Clark Griswold. Rush Limbaugh has now stepped in to give his analysis of the story which, as you can imagine, was much more in depth than my silly YouTube links. He explained things by doing a silly impression instead.

Anyone with a passing familiarity of 1) political primaries and 2) The Media™ understands that voters and viewers are quick to grasp at an opportunity to display righteous indignation. The more righteous and indignant, the better. But, as we are flung, screaming, into the 1,672nd month of the 2012 primary race, we see that indignation — so smug, so elegant, so necessary in scoring political points — give way to outrage. And a special sort of outrage at that. It comes in short, powerful bursts, quick to disappear, but leaving an indelible mark, like an illegal firecracker blowing off a neighbor child’s thumb on a balmy summer night.

Talkers magazine has released their “Heavy Hundred” list of the most important talk radio hosts in America. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz made the number four spot, with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage ranked first through third, respectively.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh blamed the feminist movement and women’s liberation for Hilary Rosen’s controversial comments last week in which she attacked Ann Romney for giving her husband, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, economic advice despite having not “worked a day in her life.” Limbaugh said that it was the fact that “instead of having the government, stay-at-home moms have a husband to support them” which irritates women like Rosen the most.

You’ve got to hand it to Rush Limbaugh; the guy knows how to offend people and he genuinely enjoys his job. Take for example the absolutely gleeful laugh he lets loose this moment from today’s radio show caught by the eagle-eared (do eagles have good hearing?) listeners at The Daily Rushbo. In the clip, Limbaugh clearly knows he’s hit offensive gold when he exclaims to his audience, “If I had a daughter, she would look like Ann Romney!”

Mitt Romney’s wife Ann Romney had “never worked a day in her life.” Limbaugh pounced on the remark and said that the Democratic party was waging a “war on motherhood.”
