Mike Tyson Imitates Herman Cain, ‘The Man Who’s Been Shouting The Number Nine On Your TV’
In the past week or so, Funny or Die has been rolling out a new part of their site, Live Funny or Die, a section dedicated to political humor. While the launch has been quiet so far, featuring only a few videos (including a fun one by friends of Mediaite, The Full Ginsburg), things kicked off in full with an announcement video in which all the 2012 candidates (played by such luminaries as Darrell Hammond and Twitter king Rob Delaney) talk up the new site. And, while it just feels right to see Hammond playing another presidential candidate, that video is completely overshadowed by another one posted today in which Herman Cain is played by…Mike Tyson.
In CNN Interview, Darrell Hammond Reveals Why He Never Wanted To Portray John McCain On SNL
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Darrell Hammond is offering a revealing look at his life, career and addiction in his new memoir God, If You’re Not Up There, I’m F*cked. Recently, we told you about his struggles with alcohol and crack cocaine while at SNL. (Everyone’s Reaction: Who didn’t do some form of cocaine while at that show?) But, now, Hammond is digging deeper into his past and allowing viewers a glimpse into a harrowing childhood marked by abuse at the hands of his mother.
Darrell Hammond Reveals He Drank Heavily, Used Crack While At SNL
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Darrell Hammond (perhaps best known for his portrayals of Bill Clinton, Chris Matthews, Donald Trump and a particularly devious version of San Connery) reveals in his new memoir that he drank heavily and smoked crack while at the show.
In God, If You’re Not Up There, I’m F*cked, Hammond writes that he kept “a pint of Remy” at his desk at the show, and reveals that “when drinking didn’t work, I cut myself.” The actor says he has trying to cope with a traumatic childhood.
Funny Or Die Reunites SNL “Presidents” For Financial Regulatory Reform
Funny Or Die has produced a video featuring a star-studded cast of actors who previously portrayed US Presidents on Saturday Night Live. Jim Carrey‘s turn as Ronald Reagan and Dana Carvey‘s George Bush recall a kinder, gentler, and perhaps funnier era of SNL political satire. The message behind the video? Promoting finance regulatory reform (and reminding viewers that much of the financial mess in which Obama finds himself, was inherited from previous administrations?)
Big Loss: Darrell Hammond Out At Saturday Night Live
The big story from the Saturday Night Live season premiere was the f-bomb from rookie Jenny Slate, but also notable was the absence of a veteran – it is clear Darrell Hammond is off the show. He wasn’t in the opening credits, or any of the sketches.
The master impressionist will surely be missed – especially after his great performance on Weekend Update Thursday just two days earlier.
Megan Fox’s SNL Promos
Oh, leave me alone. SNL’s 34th season kicks off this Saturday night, and Megan Fox is hosting. Even Obama is talking about her. This is news.
