New light is being shed on an old but hardly forgotten “war” between the White House and Fox News Channel. Judicial Watch, which oddly describes itself as a “conservative non-partisan” educational foundation, filed a Freedom of Information Act request and has now obtained e-mails from the White House that Judicial Watch says reveal that staffers specifically sought to exclude Fox News from interviewing an administration official, despite public statements from the White House at the time that such an action was merely “a mistake.”

NBC’s Jay Leno put the NBC graphics department to work in an effort to determine if Fox News correspondent Mike Emanuel would look better with his hair repositioned into an Abe Lincoln style beard. Spinning Emanuel’s hair from the top of his head to his chin reveals a sharp, distinctive and suitably White House look that could just propel Emanuel into the very top echelon of national correspondents.

Press Trust of India reported earlier this week that President Obama‘s plan trip to Inida would cost US taxpayers $200 Miliion per day during his visit to Mumbai. Though the story did not name a source, according to CBS News “the $200 million claim was credited to ‘a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit.’” Though the White House claims the cost to have “no basis in reality” it was a hot topic in today’s White House press briefing.

It’s official: Chuck Todd’s goatee will remain intact. Todd had a running bet with ABC’s Jake Tapper that if the Phillies made it to the World Series, he would either shave off his goatee or donate $1000 to the charity of Tapper’s choice. After a tense standoff with a razor-wielding Press Secretary Gibbs on The Today Show, Todd went with charity, much to the disappointment of the Twitter community. Videos after the jump.
