If it seems like it’s been a while since you’ve seen a new clip of Glenn Beck getting emotional during his broadcast, then today is your lucky day! For those not familiar with Beck’s programing schedule, today was another of his “Founder’s Friday” – a recurring theme in which Beck dedicates the show to, you guessed it, a Founding Father of the good ole U.S. of A. Last week we suggested that Glenn Beck would make a great host for Saturday Night Live. Latest evidence: Earlier this week Glenn Beck renamed the red phone he has installed on set so that the White House can call him directly the ‘Mao Hotline’. Alas, no one at the White House has been dialing his digits, so today introduced a new line of communication: carrier pigeons.

In his show’s opening segment today, Glenn Beck focuses on the press, the supposed “watchdogs of our republic, being brutally and viciously abused,” by the White House and thanks Jake Tapper for being the only reporter (dog?) willing to call the White House out on their decision to single out Fox (we reported on this earlier). The rest of the press it would seem, is the equivalent of the tiny, shivering Chihuahua in the pink collar Beck holds on his lap during his monologue.
