Cable news ratings, July 22, 2011:

•Fox News had extended coverage of the debt talks in Washington Friday–and Speaker John Boehner‘s decision to walk away–and the ongoing reporting brought FNC big ratings. In the 7 p.m. hour, Fox had its biggest ratings of the night, with 2.463 million total viewers and 564,000 viewers 25-54. Fox led primetime Friday night, with an average audience of 408,000 viewers in the demo, ahead of MSNBC’s 282,000 and CNN’s 200,000.

•The emphasis on political coverage was reflected in the ratings for both CNN and MSNBC, which both had their highest ratings Friday night for politics-heavy shows, CNN’s Situation Room (342,000 viewers 25-54) and MSNBC’s Hardball (347,000).

Boehner has successfully marginalized Obama.  Now we will be able to get deep spending cuts and a ballanced budget amendment and no new taxes.

For Liberals, the only conclusion is there are a lot of stupid Americans.  For everybody else, that’s why they have MSNBC.

If you added O’Donnell, Dr. Drew and Behar together, they would beat O’Reilly.  This is how BFD does it.

Obama has been relegated to potted plant status.

I must say that I’m still unsold with The5 at 5- but damn- they blow CNN and Matthews out of the water!

I am not sure we will get the Balanced Budget Amendment — the bar is set too high. But the rest is looking better every day, as Obama’s position gets weaker. He is losing many Senate Democrats — they do not want him to drag them down, and that’s what he was doing.

Nothing like all the lies and controversies from Fox: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News_Channel_controversies
and for all the baggers and pluos who pretend to think wikipedia is a made up source of facts, here’s another one for you totally debunking your claims: http://debates.juggle.com/is-wikipedia-a-reliable-and-socially-beneficial-resource   I'll put my money with the 78% of those who agree.. Man, you Fox junkies are having a bad couple weeks with the Rupert Murdock, News Corp. scandal.

A bad couple of weeks? Perhaps you missed the article’s headline ‘ Fox News Hits Nearly 2.5 Million Viewers…’. Murdoch may have had a bad couple of weeks, but those of us who watch Fox know the difference.

Fact: Fox is where you get real news 24/7 and America is tired of this Phony and Chief’s BS on debt ceiling!

  • Anonymous

Nobody is doubting Fox has alot of viewers. But Fox is entertainment or better yet “pseudojournalism.” In other words, Fox is much more entertainment than it is news. Especially in the evening. plus they have hot looking chicks.

  • Anonymous

but whatever happened to “behind the scenes” at Fox?

  • Claramagel

This message is for Blitzer and CNN, Shame on you CNN to take sides with the T Party! deplorable for International CNN

Mainstream media, basically Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN, is no longer reliable. It’s all a big circus. The sooner people realize how bias they ALL are…the better. Learn to think for yourself. Don’t believe something simply because Hannity or Schultz says so. Do your own research. You’ll be much more educated in the end.
