Greta Blasts Fox News Colleagues Who Got ‘Snarky’ On-Air About Hillary Clinton’s Concussion

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren took a critical look at her own colleagues in a blog post published on GretaWire on Wednesday night. Addressing the sarcastic comments some have made about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s concussion preventing her from testifying on Benghazi this week, Van Susteren said does not agree with the snark.

“I don’t agree with any of my FNC colleagues or anyone else who is a tad bit sarcastic on our air about Secretary Clinton’s health,” Van Susteren wrote. “I believe that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is suffering from a concussion.”

Clinton does not shy away from a fight, she continued — pointing out that while she is unable to testify now, she has agreed to do so in January. “If the Republicans wanted to hear from her earlier, why didn’t they just call her to testify earlier?” They have a majority in the House, Van Susteren argued, so they have the power to subpoena her.

She agreed with those who want to hear from Clinton about the Benghazi attack, noting that it is Clinton’s job to answer the many unanswered questions. But: when she is healthy.

“I don’t agree with being snarky about someone’s health,” Van Susteren asserted.

Clinton was originally scheduled to testify this week, but was unable to do so after fainting and sustaining a concussion — apparently the result of dehydration from a stomach virus. She has been recovering and working from home, but some have pointed suspiciously to the timing of Clinton’s illness.

Among them was John Bolton, who deemed it a “diplomatic illness” — a remark that drew a sharp response from the State Department. Along similar lines, Charles Krauthammer said Clinton was “suffering from acute Benghazi allergy, which causes lightheadedness when she hears the word ‘Benghazi.'” On The Five, co-hosts Eric Bolling and Kimberly Guilfoyle suggested Clinton was milking the injury to avoid questions surrounding Benghazi.
