Keith Olbermann Bringing Back ‘Worst Person In The World’ Segment For His ESPN2 Show

Because there’s nothing like hearing a cable news anchor rail against those who’ve offended him, Keith Olbermann will reportedly bring back his “World Person in the World” segment and repurpose it for his new late-night sports show on ESPN2.

The “Worst Person” segment had become a fan favorite during Olbermann’s tenure at MSNBC, as he nightly selected a politician or public figure to deem the “worst” for their remarks, actions, or general existence. Frequent targets included Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, President George W. Bush, and radio host Rush Limbaugh. The segment found second life in Olbermann’s short-lived Current TV program, but was voluntarily suspended in 2012 after Limbaugh called feminist activist Sandra Fluke a “slut” during his radio program.

And now the segment will live on as a means for Olbermann to cite the worst person(s) in the sports world.

“People seemed to like that one,” he said of his decision to bring the segment back. “Worst Person in the Sports World” will be its new title, and will reportedly be one of the many commentary elements that Olbermann believes will distinguish his talk show from ESPN’s other programming.
