Oh local news – where would we be would be without you on an otherwise slow news day? Yesterday, New Orleans’ WGNO News aired a segment about the “G Shot” – an injection of collagen into the base of a woman’s bladder designed to “put sparks back into ladies sex lives.” Or as reporter Catherine Shreves explains “because the G-spot is anatomically tucked away, the goal of the G-shot is to make the G-spot more accessible.” If that weren’t a weird enough story, check out news anchor Michael Hill‘s “friendly banter” at the end of the clip. Awkward!

Michael Hill is a respected reporter and anchor. He has a reputation about caring about real news. Maybe he made the comment out of frustration after watching a worthless report about medication to enhance a woman’s “g-spot.”

Did station management really need to air this story? No they should not have aired the story. They should not put up the provocative picture on their website not to mention the ones shown in the story. Why on earth should the female co-anchor or female reporter be upset by Michael’s comment after a story like that airs?

Local news is a relic of the past and because they cannot compete with the internet they have for several years chosen to be entertaining. This story belongs on the playboy channel for men but does not qualify in anyway as a news story.

The phones will be ringing alright….TO GET THAT DITZ OFF THE AIR!!!! I’ve seen her commentaries and you have to wonder who SHE slept with to get that job.
…and that subject on the air so early in the evening is a disgrace. WGNO Channel 26 should reconsider their management to let something like this appear on a local station at such an early time slot.
That blonde makes a mockery out of the two legit news anchors.
