Maddow And O’Donnell Laugh At Chris Wallace For ‘Strange’ Jon Stewart Interview

Video

It seems that everyone wants their crack at commenting on the conversation heard ’round the world between Jon Stewart and Chris Wallace. Last night MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell shared a few laughs at what they perceived was Stewart’s complete defeat of Wallace in the debate.

Maddow suggested about the interview, “I can’t believe that that went the way that Chris Wallace intended it to.” And she also expressed her disappointment that Wallace’s obsession with a liberal media bias proves “he’s a lot more like the other Fox News hosts than we knew, and not in a way that I think flattered him.” O’Donnell agreed joking “you could smell whiffs of the Fox News Kool-Aid on his breath.” And O’Donnell thought much of the discussion was filled with Wallace’s confusion and defensiveness.

The strange moment when Wallace played a clip from Comedy Central to prove some unclear argument of his was mocked even further by O’Donnell, who suggested Wallace should understand “the word Fox needs to defend in its title is ‘News’” while Comedy Central is supposed to be about comedy. Yet Maddow and O’Donnell smartly picked up on Wallace’s most embarrassing admission during the interview: he doesn’t find the show South Park funny! How could that be true when merely hearing Wallace say “Cartman’s Mom Is A Slut, Parts 1 and 2″ is hilarious?

Watch the clip from MSNBC below:

More stories from MSNBC about what’s going on over at FOX….

They really need to take off their bullsh*t covered lenses, because they are clearly not seeing reality.

I’ve come to the conclusion that all of you libs were high when you watched this interview. Wallace got him to say on camera that he didn’t think ABC, NBC, CBS, NYT, WA post and the others have a liberal agenda and you say Stewart won. Wow, denial ain’t just a river in Egypt to you guys.

A short, humorous reprise for these two very rich Lib media elites before they waddle right back into their ‘Human Torch’ outfits. Not a god time to be a Lib Media Hack, unable to paint any sort of positive spin on Obamo’s ruination of the country. But they have their yachts and they have their elegant mansions, all while they point fingers at ‘The Rich’ as though they somehow aren’t among them. It is good to see these people getting bludgeoned.

As much as I have been enjoying the angst of my Radical Right Reactionary Republican FOX “News” Phans, I have to agree that the interview was really poorly done. Wallace, who, as Stewart pointed out is a bright light at the rather dreary FOX “News” was ill-prepared and thrown during the course of the interview. He made a monumental error in his counter balance argument. And while “to the victors go the spoils” the victory dance need not last all week.

Fact: Jealousy at MSMBC sense they have aired Jon Stewart on hundreds of occasions but never live and they know FOX News again was first to do so. It was Jon only first on Sunday talk show guest on any of them at the lame street media. As the two laughed they only seeing each other’s image and that’s what made it funny to the rest of us. Matt S…in your story you billed this interview as a debate…why?

  • Azarkhan

What Ziegler and those who agree with him need to understand is that the MSM doesn’t intend to let anyone beat Barack Obama. They intend to pull a “Palin” — to decimate…whoever threatens the re-election of Their Precious One. Barack Obama is a failed president. Period. If 2012 is what it should be — a referendum on the incumbent — he loses in a landslide. Therefore, the White House and their MSM allies intend to do everything they can to ensure 2012 is all about toxifying the GOP nominee — regardless of who it is — into someone who cannot be elected. Anyone who thinks the MSM will take it easier on a nominee not named Palin hasn’t been paying attention.

The bottom line is that whoever our candidate is, beating Obama is not the existential problem — our candidate must beat the media….

Poor Jon Stewart. Class clown turned into angry fuddy-duddy. You could see the fury in Jon’s eyes as Wallace asked him about his “Amos and Andy” schtick on Herman Cain. Stewart “lost” the interview, insofar as he was the butt of Wallace’s humor, beginning right up to Wallace “accepting” Stewart’s apology. Hysterical. Jon’s not as clever when the event is not rigged by his staff. Loved every moment. Maddow and O’Donnell’s feels “so funny, it hurts”. But O’Donnell’s hair is impeccably organized, as ever and deserves “best organized hair” award.

The hypocrisy is truly amazing- trademark snark and condescension to point out Fox is biased and not a news channel while they are ten fold more biased and agenda-driven than whatever Fox is. To hear Crazy Larry talk about drinking the channel’s Kool-Aid or, even funnier, “I don’t know why he’s on given the ratings” while Fox has consistently lapped the field on MSNBC’s ratings leaves you staring at the screen in disbelief.

Muslim leaders in Kenya have called on the government to introduce the death penalty for homosexuals and to boycott their businesses, media reports said Monday.

“Death is the only punishment prescribed by Islam for such people as done in China and Iran,” the Daily Nation quoted Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa, of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya, as saying.

“We are asking Kenyans to shun businesses owned by such people and further show them open discrimination as a way of stopping the beastly act,” he told reporters at an anti-homosexual workshop.

now I dont really care to much for either Fox or MSNBC, but at least with MSNBC they will attack the democratic side more than Fox news will attack the republican side. With our ridiculous media being way more opinion driven of course there will be bias. Thats why people need to get off these opinion shows and go to the real news, and sometimes to get the real news on America you have to go outside of America to find out what is really going on around here. Just like Jon Stewart said people these days are brainwashed and take marching orders. If you want real news dont watch all these opinion shows

Ground Zero Mosque is a misnomer…no such thing. Secondly, I have lived in Kenya and those Muslims are actually very moderate and have lived peacefully with the majority Christian population w/o any problems for decades. Getting a quote from some radical ass to make a specious argument is like me using the crazy Florida preacher’s rants to make commentary about American Christians. You also should familiarize yourself with the 1st Amendment. That is the basis of the support for ANY religious organization doing what they want within the purview of the laws of the land.

The point of running the Comedy Central clip was two fold-show how truly disgustingly racist it was and how it’s perfectly OK in the MSM to be racist as long as the subject is conservative. Had a conservative done and said(in mock black voice)what Stewart did, all freaking HELL would have broken loose.

What’s particularly annoying is how these two morons, like Stewart himself, play the ‘it’s just a comedy show’ card when they get criticized.Meanwhile, no one else on the left comes close to Stewart in terms of being the dispenser of wisdom whose every utterance is treated as very VERY SERIOUS political commentary.

I didn’t watch the clip, but I’ll bet they seize upon the “great admission” that Fox “gives the other side.” Politifact has been deluged with lefties protesting their “False” label on Stewart’s claim that Fox viewers are the most misinformed. Reminds me of the second-rate lawyers who go to court with some half-assed “admission” they are fond of and ignore all the other evidence in the case.
