Stephen Colbert Launches An Assault On Jimmy Fallon Using The Ol’ Trojan Ice Cream Carton Trick

As we all know, there is a great war that is tearing our nation apart. No, viewers of Fox News, I’m not talking about the War on Christianity. And, no, viewers of MSNBC, I’m not talking about the War on Christians Who Are Just Normal Christians And Don’t Get All Up In People’s Faces About It. I’m talking, of course, about the Ice Cream War. Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon used to be best friends but are now worst enemies, partially because Fallon got a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor to rival Colbert’s and partially because they only signed on to be best friends forever for about six months. Since then, their battle has taken many forms like song and also animated song, but last night, on Late Night, it was full on war.

RELATED: Stephen Colbert Writes Jimmy Fallon A Valentine, Hoping To End Ice Cream-Fueled Feud

It all started when Fallon received the Valentine that Colbert sent on his show just a few hours earlier. In it, he claimed to want to put their feud behind them. However, it turns out it was all a trick as Colbert (along with Ben and Jerry themselves) arrived hidden in a giant ice cream carton to mock his former friend.

Man, will these two ever make up?

Well, probably. They only signed on to be enemies for six months as well.

I wan’t to try Late Night Snack.  Chocolate covered potato chips in ice cream with caramel sounds phenomenal.

I can vouch for Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream, it is absolutely delicious & probably the most perfect ice cream for the 4th of July. I wouldn’t try Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Snack even if you put a gun to my head.

This is why I am very doubtful for the future of the country. Women don’t even ask for such horrendous combinations when they’re pregnant.

Have you not had a chocolate covered potato chip?  They’re divine, and trust me, I’m very conscious about my health and I work out 5-6 days a week, but I can not resist a chocolate covered potato chip (or several, or the entire bag)

There used to be a flavor called Cool Brittania.  Vanilla ice cream with strawberries and chocolate covered shortbread – that was pretty damn good.

Yes I have, but its not much better than a chocolate covered pickle in my opinion.

That does sound pretty good. I like theirs s’mores & Boston cream pie flavors.

Someone hyped up the Boston Creme Pie, so I made an effort to go and try it.  It didn’t live up to the hype, but it was ok.  It reminded me of fried ice cream, which is freakin’ awesome.  The only good thing on Chi-Chi’s menu.

True, fried ice cream is quite delicious.

Colbert’s “Americone Dream” flavor is much better.  Fortunately for my waistline they can’t keep it in stock at the local grocery.  The Fallon “Late Night” flavor however is always in stock.

Fallon’s Late Night Snack honestly sickens me. I would honestly rather munch on frozen fibre glass.

    Cherry Garcia!

    I never had that actually.
