Watch Tracy Morgan’s Tearful First Interview Since Tragic Accident
Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan gave his first television interview Monday morning on The Today Show, and man, was it emotional.
Nearly a year ago, Morgan was involved in a deadly car accident that nearly took his life, but his friend James McNair perished. The comedian suffered severe brain injuries, but made a recovery and is now able to give public interviews.
“I can’t believe I’m here,” Morgan told Matt Lauer, fighting tears nearly the entire interview. “Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal.”
“I’ll get back to making you laugh,” he concluded to the viewers. “I promise you.”
