Hasan Minhaj’s Peabody Award-winning talk show Patriot Act has been canceled after six seasons on Netflix.
The actor and comedian took to Twitter to share the news, writing, “What a run. [Patriot Act] has come to an end. I got to work with the best writers, producers, researchers, and animators in the game. My 2 babies were born and grew up with the show. TY to [Netflix] and everyone who watched. Now it’s time to return these screens to Best Buy.”

The series finale aired on June 26 after Netflix picked up the show in 2018. It originally had a 32 show order but that was later extended by seven more installments this year.
An episode of Minhaj’s series was previously censored in Saudi Arabia after the comedian joked about Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Mediaite was told by Minhaj’s representative to refer to the comedian’s Twitter post as his comment regarding the cancellation.
