The Illinois Restaurant Association hosted the Bon Appetit-sponsored Chicago Gourmet 2012 last month, celebrating all things tasty (both high and low-brow) in Chicago. Chat Chow TV managed to hunt down Bon Appetit editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport and drinks editor Andrew Knowlton for their top picks on the Chicago dining scene.
Both guys lauded Chicago’s diversity in ethnic options and price point. But which chefs and restos were bestowed specific shout-outs as top contenders on the Chicago scene by Adam and Andrew? Stephanie Izard’s Girl and the Goat, Paul Kahan’s The Publican, and recently Andrew Zimmern-hyped Au Cheval were all on the must-dine list. Bust out your Places To Eat Before You Die checklist and check out the clip of Adam and Andrew
