Bruce Springsteen has released a live album that includes his viral speeches in which he attacked the administration of President Donald Trump.
Last week, Springsteen kicked off his European tour with the E Street Band in Manchester, England. While introducing the song “Land of Hope & Dreams,” Springsteen ranted about the state of affairs in the U.S. and harshly criticized the current administration.
“They’re rolling back historic civil rights legislation that led to a more just and plural society,” Springsteen said during the rant. “They are abandoning our great allies and siding with dictators against those struggling for their freedom. They are defunding American universities that won’t bow down to their ideological demands.”
Naturally, Trump did not respond kindly to those criticisms. The president has since dedicated multiple Truth Social posts to the 75-year-old, and has even called for Springsteen to be investigated for his support of former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Springsteen appeared to be unfazed by Trump’s suggestion. On Wednesday, Variety reported that Springsteen was selling an extended play — or EP — of that performance in Manchester. Titled “Land of Hope & Dreams EP,” the project included four song and two speeches he gave before performing them.
The report continued:
Recorded in Manchester, England on May 14, the EP features four songs and two of his introductions to those songs, which were fiery enough to provoke the ire of President Trump himself, who first insulted Springsteen (shortly after insulting Taylor Swift) on his Truth Social platform, and then called for a federal investigation into baseless rumors about whether Springsteen and several others were paid to appear at fund-raisers for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
